Blog 'Alascanach'
I have just posted the first of (I hope) a series of messages on my blog, 'An Gaidheal Alascanach.' It has been inactive of late but I have a thought I wish to pursue. Hopefully you will find it interesting.

Ceanglaichean
Chuir mi ceanglaichean do làraichean-lìonn èile, do tè Graisg agus do tè mi fhìn.
I put links to other sites on the side, one to Graisg's and one to my own.

Thòisich mi a’ teagaisg Gàidhlig an-raoir
Thòisich mi a’ teagaisg Gàidhlig an-raoir. Seadh, tha fhios agam! A dh’ innse an fhìrinn cha robh duine sam bith eile deònach no comasach sa bhaile
‘s mar sin chuir mi romham gun dèanainn e.
Bha beagan eagail orm roimhe a’ chlas, feumaidh mi aideachadh ach bha e ceart gu leòr. Chaidh an clas air adhart aig ìre ‘s a dhà ‘Speaking our Language’.
Bha cruaidh fheum ann an Inbhir Narann air a leithid. Bha mi glè fhortanach a chionn ‘s gu robh na h-oileanaich eòlach air beagan Gàidhlig ‘s cha robh mòran nach robh iad a’ tuigsinn. Choimhead sinn fiù ‘s air pìos sgriobhaidh bhon ‘Inverness Courier’ anns a’ cholbh ‘Am Peursa’. Dh’ innis mi dhaibh gu robh neach-ionnsachaidh a th’ annamsa cuideachd ‘s bha mi deònach gan teagaisg fiù ‘s gu robh mi fhathast an sàs foghlam tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig mi fhèin. Aig dìreadh a’ chlas thuirt mi. ‘ tha mi gu math an dòchas gu robh sin feumail dhuibh.’
‘Gun teagamh’ fhreagair iad.
Bidh tè eile a’ teagaisg clas airson luchd-tòiseachaidh an diugh. Le dhà chlas againn thèid piseach air Ghàidhlig anns a’ bhaile a-nis.
I started teaching Gàidhlig last night. Yes, I know! To tell the truth there was no one else willing or capable and so, I made my mind up to do it. I was a bit scared before the class I must admit but it went fine. The class was at level 2 Speaking our Language.
There has been a dire need for the like in Nairn. I was lucky because the students had a little Gàidhlig and there wasn’t much they weren’t understanding. We even looked at a piece from the ‘Am Peursa’ out of the Inverness Courier. At the end of the class I asked them, ‘I hope that was useful to you.’
‘Certainly’, they replied.
Someone else will be teaching a beginners’ class today and with two classes Gàidhlig in the town will get a boost now.
@Bheitidh, rinn mi blog anns a’ bheurla mu dheidhinn Inbhir Narann. Tha e a’ dol ris an canar ‘ Gurn from Nurn.’

Tha mi a-nis
Tha grian ann agus tha i breagh an-duigh. Glè thèth!
The sun is on me and it is a beautiful day today. Very warm! 27C
Obh, Faileas. Tha mi brònach cuideachd. Tha mi glè measail air Runrig. Am faca tusa Runrig riamh?
Oh, Faileas. I am sad also. I very much like Runrig. Have you ever seen Runrig?
Am bi Còisir Phort Righ a' seinn san t-samhradh?
Does the Portree Choir sing in the summer?
